Yes. Just tell our staff the name on the reservation when you arrive.

Cancellation fees apply from 5 days before your reservation date:

  • Up to 6 days before: free
  • 5 to 2 days before: 30% of the experience fee
  • The day before: 50% of the experience fee
  • On the day / no-show: 100% of the experience fee

As long as the reservation itself is not cancelled, there is no fee if only a few people cannot come. Cancellation fees are paid by bank transfer.

Cancellations due to bad weather such as typhoons or heavy snow are, in principle, subject to the regular cancellation policy.

However, no cancellation fee will be charged in the following cases:

  • The Chuo Expressway, Tomei Expressway or Higashi-Fujigoko Road that you use to reach us is actually closed
  • The public transportation you plan to use is suspended
  • You change the date or time of your reservation and still visit us (no cancellation fee even if the number of people decreases with the change)

Road closures and suspensions must be confirmable through official information. If you cancel because of weather forecasts, traffic jams, speed restrictions or your own decision to call off your trip, the regular cancellation policy applies. Please contact us in advance to change the date. The same rules apply to individuals and groups.

If you are less than 20 minutes late, there is no need to contact us. If you will be more than 20 minutes late, please call us at 050-6882-5580. It may be possible depending on that day's reservations and preparation. Please ask our staff when you arrive.

Noodle Making

  • Hōtō: Yamanashi's signature local dish. Wide flat noodles enjoyed in a miso hot pot.
  • Yoshida Udon: a local dish of Fujiyoshida, known for its thick, firm noodles.
  • Oshino Hakkai Soba: soba made with Mt. Fuji's spring water. You use a soba knife and a cutting board guide (komaita) for an authentic soba-making experience.
  • Ramen: you make the noodles yourself and enjoy them as Tonkotsu Ramen or Jiro-style Ramen.

Every experience includes both noodle making and the meal.

If you want something unique to Yamanashi, we recommend Hōtō making, our signature local dish. It is FUJIYA's classic, most popular experience.

Yes, you make the noodles from flour: making the dough, kneading, rolling and cutting. The soup and toppings are prepared by the shop.
